About Userlane

Userlane is a software adoption platform that shows enterprises whether their software and AI investments are actually working. Our team works with some of the biggest names in regulated industries, helping them get real value from technology and giving their employees the right support inside software applications they use every day. Based in Munich, growing internationally.

Userlane combines Application Intelligence and Contextual Assistance for regulated industries. Application Intelligence shows where software creates cost and friction across the estate. Contextual Assistance helps people get work done in the moment, without training burden. We work with healthcare organizations across the US and Europe, helping clinical and operational teams work confidently in complex systems like EHRs and other core clinical and business applications.

Your mission

Be part of the soul of Userlane.

HR isn’t a back-office function here, you and the People Experience team are the heartbeat of the company. As our HR intern, you’ll help make sure every person who joins and grows at Userlane has a smooth, well-supported experience at every stage, onboarding, development and beyond, and that our Munich office is a place people genuinely want to come to. The role is structured, detail-heavy work, and you know that the small things done right are exactly what people remember. We’re not just looking for someone to fill the role, we’re looking for someone who brings motivation and passion to our team and our Munich office every day.

This is a practical placement (Praxissemester or comparable Pflichtpraktikum) of at least five months, on-site at our Munich office, working 40 hours a week. You’re currently enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences, and you’ve already got some initial exposure to HR, so this placement builds on the experience you already have rather than being your very first taste of the field.

Here's what you'll learn and take on:

  • Owning the employee lifecycle: Help with running the onboarding, contract administration and offboarding so every process is accurate, structured and on time.

  • Being the first point of contact: Make HR feel approachable and responsive for every employee question, big or small.

  • Keeping our Munich office running: Ensure our office at St. Martin Str. 102 is well-organised, detail-perfect and a place people want to be.

  • Bringing the team together: Plan and run team and company events, from small get-togethers to bigger celebrations.

  • Using AI to work smarter: Bring fresh ideas on how AI tools can make HR processes faster and better.

Your profile

  • You’re currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme, ideally with a focus on HR, business, psychology or a related field, and this placement fits your curriculum as a Praxissemester or comparable practical term.

  • You’ve ideally already got some initial experience in HR (an internship, a working student role, or similar).

  • Your working style is detail-oriented and structured.

  • You’re genuinely curious about the full spectrum of HR, and want to explore more of it during your time with us.

  • You have a hands-on, proactive mentality, you’d rather get things done than just plan them.

  • You’re curious about AI tools and how they can make HR work smarter.

  • You’re reliable and enjoy being part of a close-knit, in-office team.

  • You’re fluent in German and English (spoken and written), and you’ll communicate with external stakeholders in both languages.

What's in for you

  • Team & culture: A high-performance culture with great leadership and a fun, engaged, motivated and diverse team with people from over 20 countries.

  • Impact: You’ll get real responsibility from day one, not just admin support, working directly on our employee lifecycle and our Munich office.

  • Growth: We take your development seriously during your placement, expect weekly 1:1s and hands-on coaching as you build your HR skill set.

  • Location: A well-equipped, central Munich office.

  • Compensation: In line with statutory requirements for practical placements

We’re happy to align the exact start and end dates with your university’s placement calendar; as a guide, we’re aiming for a start around December 2026.
